search engine ranking seo strategy web site optimization Big Money From Google AdwordsHere are four little known ideas that can crank out heart stopping profits for you from your Google Adwords campaign.Google Adwords Favors One-of-a-KindUnlike poker where three or four of a kind is good, with Google Adwords one is best. What’s that mean? It's simple. You want to find keywords that lack other Google Adwords ads. You know, where yours will be the only one? Second best is to find keywords with only one competitor’s ad. Let me tell you why. Keyphrases with only one ad are termed "onlies" (As in one and only?) HINT: Misspellings often make for perfect "onlies". Which is why I love words like "affiliate". No one spells it right. Geez, I can’t spell it right. Hope you can see how misspellings can make for tons of Google Adwords opportunity.Once you find keywords that give you an "only" you’ve got exclusive access to any traffic that keyWORD or PHRASE generates. Alright! Everyone knows exclusives are a good thing. Besides ROI on "onlies" can be nothing short of phenomenal. Who said one is a lonely number? Plus by blazing a trail into uncharted keyword territory you avoid bruising bidding wars that leave you battered, bloody and broke. Look. Leave bidding wars to the brainless twits chasing popular picked-over terms. Be creative and enjoy click throughs for the five cent minimum. Then too, if someone else has an only, you want to cut in on their action. That’s why it’s the second best situation. Because half of something is better than 100% of nothing. Besides, why let them have all the fun? Elbow your way in, get your ad out there and see how many click throughs you can snag. Google Adwords Rewards Good CopywritingBroadly speaking your ad’s position is determined by Cost Per Click (CPC) times Click Through Rate (CTR). So if your ad generates twice the click throughs as the next guys well, that means you can grab a superior position for half as much. So it pays to test your copy. Know what? That’s important so let me repeat it. Testing, tweaking and tracking copy is critical here. HINT: One thing to test for sure is sticking the keyword you’re bidding on in either the title or description - or both. Even if you have to compose an ad for each critical big money keyword. When searched for, that term will be highlighted and may just catch the eye of the visitor. That’s why this trick can goose CTR. So you want to test to find out if that will happen for your ad. Google Adwords Will Cost Less Than Your BudgetTo get the max out of any Google Adwords campaign, set your initial daily spending limit high. Even if it makes you cringe, in my experience you’ll only end up paying a fraction of your daily budget. But by setting it high you’ll generate maximum exposure. Which is smart because if you set it too low, a common rookie mistake, your campaign will be shut down by Google when you exceed the amount set. Ooops! No more exposure and a potential loss of sales. Google Adwords is a Nickel and Dime GameIt’s generally better to have a hundred cheap keywords each generating a clickthrough or two a day (which isn’t bad by the way) than one costly term generating a hundred clickthroughs. One guy I know has over 4000 keywords in the mix and he is making money hand over fist. It helps if you can think like the average surfer. Ask yourself "What less than obvious terms might they use to find my product?" Sounds crazy I know. And the first month can be wild as you tweak and test. (Remember testing?) But after that your campaign pretty much runs itself. As at that point it can go on autopilot as the money rolls in. To wrap this up, unlike Overture, Google Adwords favors the guerilla marketer. That is someone who can write good pithy copy, think creatively to come up with little known keywords/phrases and test like crazy. Is that you? If so get the ball rolling. A measly five bucks gets you in the Google Adwords game. After that you’ll be rewarded in direct proportion to how good you are. You ready for that?
