TIP#5: A common rookie mistake is to use the same title for every page. Wrong! Instead use a unique title with keywords that reflects the content found on that page.

For example, this is a strong TITLE tag that will help generate traffic from people searching for "cat herder training":

<TITLE>Cat Herder Training</TITLE>

Here's a less good one:

<TITLE>Cat Herders R Us Inc: Cat Herder Training </TITLE>

Note: Small time operators should NEVER put their company name in the title. Your mom may like it. But search engines are not impressed.

Then ones like this will all but doom your site:

<TITLE>Cat Herders R Us Inc: The Net's
Best Source for All Things Cats!</TITLE>

Why are you doomed? Your focus keyword didn't make it into the title. Making it less likely you're rank well for it, right?

Search Engine Placement TIP#6: Never use text that's the same color as the page background or table background. Tempting but dumb. Can you say "search engine spamming"?
